Triple Glazed Units
Triple-glazed units refer to windows or glass panels that consist of three layers of glass separated by two air or gas-filled spaces, typically with low-E (low emissivity) coatings and insulating gas between the glass layers. They are designed to provide better insulation and energy efficiency than traditional double-glazed windows, which have two layers of glass.
Triple glazing offers several advantages:
- Improved insulation: The additional glass pane and gas-filled spaces in triple glazing help reduce heat transfer, making it more effective at insulating a building. This can lead to lower heating and cooling costs.
- Enhanced sound insulation: The multiple glass layers and air gaps in triple glazing can provide better noise reduction, making it a good choice for homes in noisy urban areas or near busy streets.
- Reduced condensation: Triple glazed units are less prone to condensation on the interior surface because the innermost glass layer is typically closer to room temperature, reducing the likelihood of moisture buildup.
- Increased security: The extra layer of glass can make it more difficult for intruders to break through the window.
- Better UV protection: Triple glazing can offer improved protection against ultraviolet (UV) rays, helping to prevent fading of interior furnishings and artwork.
However, there are some considerations to keep in mind:
- Cost: Triple glazing is more expensive than standard double glazing, both in terms of the initial purchase and installation.
- Weight: Triple glazed units are heavier, which may require reinforcement in the window frame and can limit the size of the window openings.
- Reduced solar gain: While triple glazing is excellent for insulation, it may reduce the amount of natural light and solar heat that enters a space, which can impact passive solar heating in the winter.
These Units can be supplied in various thicknesses for 20 to 44mm Thick.
Available with most of the options listed in the double glazed section above.

Kitchen Splashbacks
Glass kitchen splashbacks are a popular choice for many homeowners due to their sleek and modern appearance, as well as their practicality. They serve both functional and aesthetic purposes in the kitchen.
- Protection: One of the primary functions of a kitchen splashback is to protect the wall behind the stove or sink from food splatters, grease, and other stains. Glass is an excellent material for this purpose because it is easy to clean and highly resistant to stains and damage.
- Aesthetic Appeal: Glass splashbacks come in a wide range of colours and can be customized to match your kitchen’s decor. They provide a clean and reflective surface that can make your kitchen appear more spacious and brighter.
- Easy to Clean: Glass is non-porous, making it easy to clean and maintain. Spills and splatters can be wiped away with a damp cloth or glass cleaner.
- Hygienic: Because glass is non-porous, it doesn’t harbour bacteria or other pathogens. This makes it a hygienic choice for a kitchen where cleanliness is essential.
- Durability: Toughened or tempered glass is typically used for kitchen splashbacks, which is more resistant to breakage than regular glass. However, it can still break if subjected to excessive force.
